Tag the exact Experiences and Outcomes an observation shows, by browsing each area's organisers or by searching a word or code.
Childminders registered with the Care Inspectorate in Scotland, for children aged 3 to 5 years 11 months (36–71 months). The CfE Early Level section appears automatically on their observations and activity plans.
On an observation or activity plan, scroll to Curriculum for Excellence — Early Level. You'll see the note "Tag the Es and Os your observation shows.", a row of area tabs (Literacy, Numeracy, Health & Wellbeing and the rest), and a search bar. Literacy is selected first.
Each area lists its organisers — for example Literacy's "Enjoyment and choice" or "Tools for listening and talking". Tap an organiser to open it and see its Experiences and Outcomes (E&Os), each with its code and full statement.
If you just want to log that an organiser was covered, tap its Tag organiser pill without opening it.
Tap an E&O to tag it. The organiser shows how many E&Os are tagged, and the area tab picks up a count too. Tap again to untag it. You can tag several E&Os under one organiser, and an organiser-level tag alongside them — they don't affect each other.
If you remember a word or a code but not which of the eight areas it's under, type it into the search bar — try "listening" or "MNU 0-01a". Results come from every area, grouped by organiser, and each result can be tagged in one tap.
Tagged E&Os appear on the saved observation, in the practitioner feed, and in the parent app as, for example, "LIT 0-01a · Enjoyment and choice". An organiser tagged without an E&O shows its organiser name.
Open the child's Progress tracker. Only E&Os you've actually tagged are ticked — an organiser-level tag alone shows "Tagged at organiser level" instead, so the checklist never overstates what's been evidenced.
