Add a parent or carer to a child, send their invitation, and review the details they send back.
Childminders adding a parent or carer to a child who's already in KinderStart. Needs the Standard plan or a free trial. It takes about two minutes.
Each parent or carer can have their own login to the parent app, where they see the diary, sign forms and pay invoices.
Open the Children tab, tap the child, and choose Parents.
Tap + and choose New Parent. Enter their name, relationship to the child, email, phone and address. Switch on Parental Responsibility if they have it.
Switch on Send Invitation Email? and tap save. The parent gets an email with a Create Account link, which lasts 7 days.
The parent fills in their details and their child's from their own phone. When they submit, a Review Pending Registration banner appears on the child's profile. Check the details, sort out anything that looks wrong with the parent, and approve them.
Before you approve, make sure the emergency contacts and medical details are complete, not just started.
Parents enter their own details, so you don't retype a paper form, and everything they give you goes straight into the child's profile.
