Secure your account with Multi-Factor Authentication. Learn how to enable and use SMS-based verification codes.
This guide explains how to enhance your account security using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in KinderStart.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. Instead of just entering your email and password, you'll also be prompted for a 6-digit verification code sent to your mobile phone via SMS. This ensures that even if someone discovers your password, they cannot access your account without your physical device.
You can easily enable MFA from your profile settings:
Note: You must have a verified mobile phone number associated with your account for MFA to work. If you haven't added your phone number yet, please ensure it's updated in your profile.
Once MFA is enabled, your login process will slightly change:
If the code doesn't arrive within a minute, you can tap the Resend Code button on the verification screen to request a new one. Ensure you have a good cellular signal.
You can disable MFA at any time by returning to My Profile > Compliance & Training and switching the Multi-Factor Auth (MFA) toggle to OFF.
KinderStart does not charge for sending MFA codes, but standard message rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
Currently, KinderStart supports SMS-based MFA. We are working on adding support for authenticator apps (TOTP) in a future update.
