Setting Planner and Weekly Activity Planning

The Setting Planner records when your setting is closed or a child is absent, keeping invoices accurate and your schedule visible at a glance. Weekly Planning lets you map out learning activities in advance and link them to the children who will take part.

How to open Setting Planner

1. Tap the Tools tab in the bottom navigation bar.
2. Scroll to Setting Planner and tap it.

The planner lists your entries in date order. The + button in the header adds a new entry; the calendar icon opens the Setting Calendar view.

Log a setting closure

Use this when your setting is closed — for your own holidays, bank holidays, or any day you are not providing care.

1. Tap + in the Setting Planner header.
2. The Add Entry bottom sheet opens. The Setting chip is selected by default — leave it as is.
3. Tap Start Date and choose the first day of the closure.
4. Tap End Date and choose the last day of the closure. For a single-day closure, set both dates to the same day.
5. Tap the Notes field and type a brief description (for example, "Summer holiday").
6. Tap Save. A success toast confirms the entry has been saved. Tap Got it to dismiss.

The closure appears in the list as Setting Closed ⛔.

Log a child holiday

Use this when a specific child will be absent due to a family holiday or other planned absence. The process is the same as logging a closure, with one difference: select the Child entry type.

1. Tap + in the Setting Planner header.
2. In the Add Entry sheet, tap the Child chip to switch entry type.
3. Select the child the absence applies to.
4. Set the Start Date and End Date.
5. Add a note if helpful (for example, "Family holiday"), then tap Save.

Edit an entry

1. Locate the entry in the Setting Planner list.
2. Tap its Edit button. The Edit Entry form opens, pre-filled with the current details.
3. Adjust the dates or notes as needed.
4. Tap Update Entry to save.

To remove an entry, tap Delete within the edit form. To discard changes without saving, close the sheet.

View in calendar

Tap the calendar icon in the Setting Planner header to open Setting Calendar, which shows your entries in a monthly view. Tap Go back to return to the list.

Weekly Activity Planning

How to open Weekly Planning

1. Tap the Tools tab in the bottom navigation bar.
2. Scroll to Weekly Planning and tap it.
3. Tap the Weekly Planning text on the next screen to enter the planner.

The week view shows the current week. Use Previous Week and Next Week to navigate.

Plan a new activity

1. Tap New Activity.
2. On the Plan New Activity screen, type the activity name in the title field (for example, "Autumn Leaf Collage").
3. Tap the day chip for the day the activity will take place — Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, or Fri.
4. Tap Select [child name] to assign a child to the activity.
5. Tap the submit button to save.
